Abstract
This study was carried out to assess the risk factors associated with medical treatment failure among patients with community acquired pneumonia and parapneumonic effusion.
For this purpose, 68 patients (45 males and 23 females) with mean age (55.2 ± 12.8 years) presenting with community acquired pneumonia and parapneumonic pleural effusion were admitted at chest department, Zagazig university hospitals in the period from June 2015 to December 2015.
