Abstract

The current research aimed at investigating the effectiveness of using electronic educational games to enhance achievement and transfer of learning and retention in mathematics for primary stage pupils, the research sample consisted of (62) male and female pupils from the sixth grade of primary school in two schools of the West Mansoura Educational Administration, distributed into two groups: experimental group (N=32), and control group (N=30). Data was collected through achievement test in Ratio unit and achievement test in Proportion unit. Research results revealed that: There is a statistically significant difference at level (0.01) between the mean scores of the pupils of the experimental and control groups in the post-administration of the achievement test in ratio unit in favor of the experimental group. There is no statistically significant difference at level (0.01) the mean scores of the pupils of the experimental group in the post and delayed administration of each level of the Ratio test, as well as the total score of the test. There is a statistically significant difference at level (0.01) between the mean scores of the pupils of the experimental and control groups in the administration of the achievement test in proportion unit in favor of the experimental group.
