he study aimed to identify the effectiveness of the selective counseling program for developing altruistic behavior among primary school students. The study sample consisted of (30) primary school children selected from (the fourth, fifth and sixth grades of primary school) and they were divided into two groups: an experimental group consisting of (15) children who were subjected to a selective counseling program, and a control group consisting of (15) children, and their ages extended The time period ranged between (9.8 - 11.10) years, and their mean age was (10.5) years with a standard deviation of (0.69) for the control group, and their mean age was (10.6) years and a standard deviation of (0.72) ) for the experimental group. The researcher used two tools: the altruistic behavior scale, and the selective counseling program. The most important results of the study were: the presence of statistically significant differences between the mean scores of the experimental group of students in the pre and post measurements on the altruistic behavior scale in favor of the post measurement, and the presence of statistically significant differences between the mean scores of the experimental and control groups in the post measurement on the behavior scale altruism in favor of the experimental group. There were no differences between the mean scores of the experimental group for the two post and follow-up measures of altruistic behavior two months after applying the selective indicative program.
