Abstract

Wool is considered one of the most important protein fibers. It is a textile fiber obtained from sheep and other animals. The early history of wool is lost in antiquity. Sheepskin, including the hair was probably used long ago before it was discovered that the fibers could be spun into yarns or even felted into fabrics. It is said that wool was the first fiber to be spun into yarns and woven into cloth.(1)
Reactive dyes are of one the most dyes used globally in wool printing and this is due to its good wet fastness and color variety but require large quantities of urea for the preparation of the printing paste.(104)
The global trend now is to reduce the use of polluting materials and reduce the rates of use or replace them with other echo friendly materials. Urea is one of chemicals that cause significant pollution to the environment. Urea is one of the basic materials that used in the preparation of the reactive dyes printing paste, and so the trend now is to remove urea completely or reduce it and replace it with other echo friendly materials.
