Abstract

Abstract
the efficacy of tested acaricides was studied on the Two spotted spider mite and its predators. The results showed that abamectin was the most potent compound on T. urticae, while ethion was the most toxic compound against P. persimilis, abamectin had the highest toxicity against Scolothrips longicornis, and diafenthiuron had the highest toxicity against Stethorus gilvifrons a LC50 level. The efficiency of the same acaricides were evaluated against the moving stages of the two spotted spider mite on strawberry(through out 2008-2009 and 2009-2010 season) and cucumber (thought out 2008 and 2009 seasons) in the farm of Agricultural Research Station in Ismailia Governorate. It was observed that Bifenazate was the most superior. While chlorfenapyr was the least efficient compound and gained the lowest reduction (74.6 – 76.5 %) in the first and second season, respectively on cucumber; whereas on strawberry diafenthiuron caused the lowest reduction of the mite population in the first and second season (86.1 and 84.2 % respectively). The results also showed that there was no significant difference among the other tested compounds on strawberry but on cucumber there was significant between the acaricides bifenazate and chlorfenapy
