Abstract
This thesis is a study in the field of geometric theory of partial differential equations In particular equations of physical interest are considered differents geometric prolongation is used as a method for such study extensively finite and infinite prolongations are studied for equations like k-dv burgers burger isotropic landau-lifshitz sine-gordon and chiral model equations.
