Abstract
The present study was carried out at the Experimental Farm of Minia university during 1999/2000 and 2000/2001 growing seasons to evaluate 17 local varies of faba bean as well as F1 crosses derived from three genotypes with emphasis on mean performance, variation and some breeding and genetic variables.
The study comprises two parts, evaluation of varieties and cross.
A- Mean performance and variation of seventeen local varieties
B-crosses a mong three parents.
