Abstract
The aim of the present study is to investigate the effect of CCC, ethrel and MH on growth, flowering, fruiting metabolism and endogenesus growth regulators of cucurbita pepo plants. A preliminary experiment is carried out to study the best time of application of the various chemicals used. It appears clear that treatment of cucurbita pepo plants at the first leaf stage is the most effective treatment. This is followed by two large scale pot and field experiments in which plants are treated. The results obtained show that the response of growth flowering and fruiting of this plant are dependent on the concentration and type of the chemical used. The lower concentrations appear to increase the growth hormones and decrease the native inhibitors.
