Abstract This thesis starts with a review of some digital adaptive control systems then it gives the detaiLed analysis of digital adaptive control system using an estimator for the plant pulse transfer function two adaptive control systems are studied in the first the parameters are estimated using kalman method and applied to the controller in the second systEm the controller is derived on the basis of state variable of the system the information about the input and output signals are concentrated using pseudo -correlation function the computational results of three examples are given to show the effect of the length of observational interval and the weighting factor on the performance of the estimator and the response of the system the study also tackles the optimum control problem with time varying plants using the pulse transfer estimator. |
