Abstract

Blood tran5fu~!on ha5 been faced b~ many problems
in the fo:tM ofl thel daily increaae for blood qroup
serology and the n~ed for improving mails blood scree-
~ing technics in the preaenc!! of few tra inl’!d t.echnicLan.
In additon to that. the most manual technical
steps~ in blood group serology can involve inaccurate.
laboratione, reading of the result ~nd clerical errors.
All these previo~s problems have led to the
develQpment of autOll\atic equipment tl::l be u.sed in
the field of blood tran8fueion.
In this study an ev~luation of the automatic
blOOd grouping machines has been presented in detai],
in addition to short not~~ on other m~chin~s used
in cell wa5h. cell eaparation ana 6ampling.

reliability and the aOcuracy when compared to routine

In add1tion to these advanta~e~ of automQtic

regarded as neceasary but not practical in the p~st,

TO achieve the previous advantage of automatic
equipment, the following must be respected:
1- Instruction of the ~nufacture6 must be obeyed.
2- suitable equipment for the suitab1e place.
