Abstract Ultrasound is a reasonable screening procedure for pancreatic head masses. Computed tomography is a diagnostic tool especially for distant metastasis Endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography is a reasonable tool for suspecting pancreatic head masses and not for the assessment of respectability of cancer head of pancreas Endoscoping ultrasonography demonstrates a clear ultrasonogram of the pancreatic head. It seems to be a very accurate diagnostic tool for precise pre-operative loco-regional assessment of respectability of cancer head of pancreas. Further detailed prospective studies are needed to confirm the value of endoscoping ultras-onography |
