Abstract
This study included 20 patients of missed abort ion admitted at Tanta University Hospital in the Depdment of Obstetrics and Gynecology, They were drivided into two groups. Prostag1a;ndi.n group (n = 10) and oxytocin group (n = 10). In PG group, we used prost in E2 Ampoulea , each .-so A aining 0.5 m l that contains 5 mg PG (Upjohn). Preparing the drug in a way, that 1 ml of diluted solution contain 200 mg, we inject 1.25 mL in bo-bhanterior and posterior cervicallips , The casss were observed for the vital signs cervicd. dilatation and cornplicati ons, every three
hours, The Induct ion-E&ablishment interval (I. E.I. ) induction-Abortion Time (I .A,T. ) as well aa the Abortion Score (b .So) were reported upon. The dose was repeated 6 hourly, allowing the trial for 24 hours.
