Abstract This work was carried out on swunex squash in the summer seasons of 1975 and I976 a t Kafr El-Sheikh Faculty of Agriculture. The objective was to study the crop requirements of N,P,K. Three f e r t i l i z e s ratios, i:l:l , l:2 :1 and 1:3:1 a t the rate of 50, 100, or 150 Kg./feddan, were used, Data were taken on vegetative growth, flowering, fruiting, and seed crop, The chemical analysis were done on vines and f r u i t s , The results were as follows: 1- Plant height was not affected by either the f e r t i l i z e r mixtures or levels. 2- The number of leaves was not affected by the mixtures but in certain cases the levels led t o its increase, 3- The highest leaf area and dry weight of leaves were obtained from applying 150 Kg, of 1:1:1. 4- The number of both pistillate and staminate flowers at 45 days of age increased when the level of each of the three f e r t i l i z e r s was raised. A t e a r l i e r or l a t e r growth stages either insignificantly varied or show no constant trend. |
