Abstract This work aims to characterize the blending techniques of two commercial polymers by detecting their effect on the most important physical properties of the end-use blend product. Four blending methods were followed, namely, powder blending, melt blending, solution blending and laminar blending. All produced blends are molded in film form by using a hot press at the same temperature and pressure. Polypropylene PP and polyethylene (PE) are used as blend components where they are mixed at the ratios of 10/90,50/50,90/10 by weight. |
