Abstract This M.A deals with the major effects of desacralization on the main plays of David Storey and Harold Pinter . As the desacralization or the divesting of anything sacred is the main factor in destroying the modern contemporary world. This thesis is classified into four chapters: Chapter One is two parts , Part One is a background about this modern world and the main reasons and results of desacralization. Part Two is about the main literary force in their plays who is Samuell Beckett. Chapter Two deals with the theme of the deceptive family . Then, Chapter Three is about the devaluation of any kind of ritual in this secular society. Finally, Chapter Four presents a consistent vision of loneliness and isolation among people in this modern life. |
