Abstract Medicinal plants playing an important role for human life, because of its properly as a source of active substances which have pharmacological action and its usage in medicine industry. Medicinal plants are infesting by many insects especial aphids, such as sucking insects, are responsible for great damage, weakness and dryness of plant which in turn reduce and affect on the quality and quality and quantity of essential oil production. In Egypt, insecticidal using with medicinal plant was forbidden, till the beginning of 1980 s. Because of its adverse effect on the oil content and its residue which was retained in flower, in addition to the insect infestation that caused and increased damage to the plants. The Egyptian Ministry of Agriculture recommendations had suggested certain insecticides to control the insects ( aphids) attacking medicinal plants. The medicinal plant under investigation included German chamomile ( Matric aria chamomilla ), the dry chamomile flowers were evaluated on bases of the active substance and the insecticide residue in flowers. |
