Abstract
This thesis deals with the Quaternary subsurface sediments of Bilqas, Matariya and Mit - Chamr wells. The main objectives were (1) to provide more information on mineral composition and textural attributes of these sediments, (2) to determine the depositional environments and sedimentation patterns and (3) to ralate these patterns to the major processes govering the evolution of the Nile Delta during the Quanternary.
