Abstract The present study aimed at assessing knowledge of the patient about self care post urinary diversion, design ,plan and implement a health teaching program of the patient about self care and evaluate the outcome of an health teaching program for self care on patients knowledge! and practice regarding self care . The study sample composed of 30 patients. The sample was drawn from urology unit and oncology institute, at Zagazig University Hospitals. The tools used to achieve the goals were included pre-post questionnaire sheet, qual ity of life I ndex and observational checklist were obtaind from patient’s sample. An .e.ducational program was offered to patients’ sample in the form of health teaching program .The results revealed that a significant improvement inECl.tient’s••-Y(nowle-dge and practice after program implementatio to each more than 80%.A cornrmrrnen t for continuing education, assessment and re - evaluation of patients are needed. |
