Abstract The work in this InvestiQation was divided Into clinical and experimental studies:— 1— Clinical studs— This study was carried out on thirty Patients with benign oral lesions related to the bone of the maxilla and/or the mandible. All the lesions have undergone histoatholoical and radiorahic examinations before treatment. Patients with malignant lesions were not included in this study. Patients were classified Into three goups, 10 Patients each. GrQUPLL Patients were treated with conventional suroical removal. Group II:— Patients of this group were treated with cryotherapy. The cryogen was nitrous oxide (—89°C) delivered by cryotherapy aPParatus with different probs. Access to the lesion was obtained through a surgical incision centered over the lesion. Definitive freezing of the entire bony lesion was then Performed by alIcation of the crorobe through this incision. A double — freeze - thaw cycle ( each of 180 seconds ) was performed at each site.
