Abstract Pesticides enter natural water from industerial plants, runoff from catchment areas, aerial syraying of fields and with waters of drainge systems cauusing environmental pollution. The residues of such compounds were identified in River Nile water and its branches. Fishes are seriously affected by exposure to such biocides. They exhibited different changes beginning with behavioural, physiological, biochemical and leading to either failure in the reproductive cycle or even death to the individual fishes. |
