Abstract
The present study was performed at the outpatients, dermatology department of Mansoura University Hospital. The materials studied in this work were 59 photo¬sensitive patients. They were divided into~rive diffe- rent groups of patients with aotive skin lesions accor- ding to the clinical diagnosis. They were: 1. Xeroderma pigmentosum. 2. Solar urticaria. ]. Polymorphous light eruption. 4. Lichen planus actinicus. 5. Di~coid lupus erythematosus. A thorough clinical examination of all patients was done • They were known to be free from any other dermatologic or systemic diseases other than the dis- ease of this study. All patients were examined and submitted for the following laboratory investigations. A- A histopathological study for all the skin specimens was performed, using ; 1. Haematoxylin and eosin stain to confirm the clinical diagnosis.
