Abstract The aim of this study is to evaluate the therapeutic effect of two oral hypoglycaemio drugs gliclazide (diamioron) and glipizide (Minidiab) beside their effects on serum lipid pattern in non insulin dependent diabetics or specially in those patients not responding well to either diet regem or diet and other sulphonylurea drugs. , The material of this study comprised 24 patients with mature adult onset female diabetics with age ranged between 30-41 years, three of them were newly discovered to have diabetes mellitus, the rest of patients were previously treated with either glibenclamide or tolbutamide but without remarkable response.
