Abstract The aim of the present work was to compare two different schedules of glipizide administration, once, dialy vensus splitted dosages. The material of this work comprised 100 cases of non-insulin-dependent diabetics, 35 males and 65 females, with age ronged between 40-60 years. The patients were classified into two groups according to the dose of glipizide given. Group I: Comprised 80 patients and they recieved less than 15 mg dialy of glipizide and according to the mode of administration. This group was divided into two subgroups: SubgrouP A: Comparised 40 patients and they took glipizide as a single dose. SubgrouP B: Comparised 40 patients and they recieved glipizide in 3 equal divided doses. The dose regimen was maintained for 3 months, after that the alternative. |
