Abstract In the present study, an intensive survey was carried out during two successive years 2003/2004 2004/2005 at Dakahlia Governorate on soil of some crops . Data proved the occurrence of 128 mite species belonging to 66 genera and 34 families of four suborders, suborder Gamasida represented by 8 families while suborder Actinedida has 17 families ,suborder Acaridida has 5 families, and suborder Oribatida represented by 4 families. population fluctuation of commonest soil predaceous mites and other associated once inhabiting clover , wheat and maize were studied during two seasons 2003/2004 2004/2005. And it was found in clover that the Laelapidae mites reached to the peak during March in the frits season and February in the second season while the Ascid mites reached to the peak in early March . In wheat both of Laelapid and Ascid mites reached to the peak during early March. While in maize the population of the other predaceous mites as a whole, was higher than fungivorous mites flowed by the laelapid and ascid mites during the two seasons. A biological study were carried to investigate the effect of different temperatures on the biological potential of the most dominant predaceous mites in soil, Hypoaspis miles and Cunaxa sp. and the results indicated that both of the two mites lived longer at 25 C more than 35C. |
