Abstract This study was carried out with the aim to determine some epidemiological aspects of cancer pancreas& study some risk factors predispose to the disease& test the hypothesis that pancreatic cancer patient have higher level of cadmium than controls Concerning the degree of smoking the light smokers were 2 (1.9%) among cases and 6 (5.7%) among controls There was no significant statistical difference. The moderate smoker were 13 (12.3%) among cases and 9 (8.5%) among controls There was no significant statistical difference.The heavy smokers were 41 (38.7%) among cases and 10 (9.4%) among controls with high significant statistical difference, OR = 6.64 . Results of cadmium analysis showed the mean among cases and controls was 7.1 (g/l and 3.5 (g/l respectively with high significant statistical difference. |
