Abstract In this thesis, both manual and automatic fringe analyses of interference patterns ara presented. The first part deals with a manual fringe analysis of interference patterns of the optical fibers.these patterns ara produced using multiple - beam fizeau and two - beam (michelson interference) techniques. The second part deals with computer -p aided variable wavelength fourier transforms polarizing microscopy of birefringent fibres. |
