Abstract
Multiple-beam interferometric methods and diffraction techniques were applied to study the optical properties of some multiple-skin fibres namely; polyrthylene, polypropylene, bicomponent nylons (nylon 66 core, nylon 6 sheath), Dralon and perlon. In the present work, the Becke-line method has been applied for measuring the refractive indices of the outer layer of the fibre.
