Abstract
Several studies for inactivation of tomato streak virus with different agents were carried out : Inactivation with gamma radiation, with 5 different amino acids, namely : glycine, leucine, phenyl alanine, glutamic and aspartic acids and with Euphorbia pulcherrima. Tomato streak virus has a wide range of susceptible hosts. Tobacco plants being of international economic importance were chosen as a mosaic host for studying the effect of different doses of gamma radiation upon the infectivity of the virus.
