Abstract In the present work, the method of preparation of sodium percarbonate and the conditions under which maximum degree of bleaching could be achieved were studied. the obtained results can be summarized as follws : - sodium sillcate alone is not sufficient to stabilize hydrogen peroxide in solution, although it is able to stabilize hydrogen peroxide in solid sodium percarbonate at room temperature. the solution of 10 gm/L sodium percarbonate in distilled water is completely decomposed after 10 minutes at boiling. Better results can be achieved by using a mixture of magnesium and sodium silicate. |
