Abstract There has been increase in number of knee joint athletic injuries with the increase in sports activities participation, imaging plays an important role in early diagnosis of different injuries which help early management and prevention of avoidable complications and also help prediction of adequate time of athletes to return to play. X-ray and ultrasound are the most accessible modalities, but MRI has become more valuable in evaluating the extent and severity of injuries especially those involving soft tissue.The aim of this study was to assess the value of MRI in evaluating different patterns of knee joint sports related injuries specifically in children and adolescents.. |
