Abstract

Recent years have seen a dramatic increase in the number of ocular trauma cases, even in some occasions all inpatient cases were traumatic in nature. 1468 traumatic cases consented to be enrolled in this study while those with vague or incomplete history not included in the epidemiological study and analysis. Cases of superficial corneal foreign body not included in this study, only those of deep corneal F.B that needed to be removed in the operating room were included In addition to visual impairment, eye injury is known to cause significant morbidity that affect the patient, his psychosocial environment, his family and the government that provide financial subsidy services for the increasing numbers of those who deserve financial support due to visual impairment as a result of ocular trauma. The aim of this study is to document the epidemiology, pattern, presentation, management and outcome of ocular and orbital trauma among study cases.
