المستخلص The study aims to identify the concept, styles, and different aspects of educational awareness among pre-university teachers, determine the significant approaches for developing educational awareness among pre-university teachers based on contemporary educational perspectives, identify the reality of educational awareness among pre-university teachers in Upper Egypt, and make a proposal based on contemporary educational perspectives and the results of the field study to develop approaches for developing educational awareness among pre-university teachers in Upper Egypt. The researcher utilized the descriptive approach as the most appropriate to the nature of the study and applied a questionnaire in the field study to a sample of (1200) pre-university teachers in the different stages of education to identify the reality of educational awareness among pre-university teachers. Furthermore, the researcher processed data using the Statistical Package for Social Sciences (SPSS). The results revealed the lack of training courses and programs inside and outside school to develop teachers’ thinking and scientific research skills, poor community support of action research in the educational context, inadequate roles of training and quality units in schools in developing the teachers’ educational awareness, and lack of the effective role of educational media in raising the awareness of teachers and community members of contemporary educational transformations. The study was concluded with a proposal based on the suggestions of contemporary educational perspectives and the results of the field study to develop approaches for promoting educational awareness among pre-university teachers in Upper Egypt.
