Abstract This study was conducted to evaluate using of Benex extraction system in atraumatic axial extraction with immediately placed implant in the anterior maxillary area clinically and radiographically. Ten patients with twelve non- restorable maxillary anterior tooth indicated for immediate implant placement were chosen from the outpatient clinic of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Department, Faculty of Dentistry, Alexandria University. The ages of the selected patients ranged from 29-47 years old with the mean of 38.10 years old and were 7 females and 3 males and they were free from any systemic diseases. All patients were preoperatively examined clinically and radiographically with CBCT for assessment of bone density, periapical pathology, maxillary sinus approximation and implant measurements. Implants positions were virtually planned using 3D planning software (Mimics 19) based on a preoperative CBCT. Implants were placed in the fresh extraction sockets and a provisional temporary abutment. All patients were demonstrated to mark their pain level along the VAS analogue scale at 7 days, 14 days and 21 days postoperatively. Soft tissue healing was evaluated using the pink esthetic score PES. Clinically, primary and secondary stability were assessed using Osstell. All implants showed increase in ISQ value from 0 to 6 months. Radiographic assessment at 3 and 6 months was done showing a significant increase in the bone density and amount of bone formed vertically and horizontally buccal and palatal to the implants and a significant decrease in the marginal bone loss. |
