Abstract Fixation of sub trochanteric fracture, even for experienced surgeons, is a challenge. we aim to compare the results of two fixation methods, proximal femoral nail (PFN) and the dynamic condylar screw (DCS) . Thirty patients who were admitted in AL-Salam insurance hospital Port Said were randomly divided into two groups 15 patients for each: The postoperative data and follow up data for 6 months were evaluated and recorded. we recommend the intramedullary devices (PFN) because of less operative time, less intra-operative blood loss, no post-operative blood loss, much earlier bone healing and better improvement in hip functions. |
