Abstract Urban green spaces have enormous potential to transform a city into a livable environment. Through the literature review the study assesses local legislation’s impact on conserving urban green spaces from the perspective of good urban governance. It then adopts several variables that evaluate preserving strategies in three axis effective legal framework, social inclusion, and wellbeing for the comparison of case studies. Otherwise, the study monitors the individual share of green space in New Egyptian cities in comparison with the minimum share of green space according to the (WHO). Through questionnaires the study evidence the important of customer satisfaction surveys and referenda for effective social participation. Finally, it proposes a software application that can effectively promote civilizations participation in forming comprehensive data base for trees location, its properties and whether it needs maintenance. |
