Abstract

Salinity is one of the most important factors that limit the growth and productivity of faba bean (Vicia faba L.) plants. In recent years, nanotechnology has been used to mitigate the harmful effects of salt stress on various plant species. This study aimed to investigate the effect of titanium dioxide Nanoparticles (TiO2NPs) and selenium Nanoparticles (SeNPs) on faba bean plants grown under salinity stress conditions. Three levels of these particles (0, 5, and 10 ppm) were sprayed on faba beans grown under three levels of NaCl salinity (0, 40, and 80 mM). Plant growth and certain physiological aspects were evaluated. It was found that salinity stress decreased the growth and photosynthetic traits of faba beans.
