Abstract
The aim of this study is to assess the short term outcomes of laparoscopic suture rectopexy for full thickness rectal prolapse (FTRP).
Methods: This is a retrospective study evaluating laparoscopic suture rectopexy, as regards post-operative recurrence, bowel function; constipation & incontinence, sexual function and the overall satisfaction in a 6-month duration after surgery.
This study included 31 adult patients admitted at Ain-Shams University Hospitals with complete rectal prolapse operated by the same surgical team between January 2021till March 2022.
Results: Out of 31 patients underwent laparoscopic suture rectopexy, just one case had complete recurrence, no sexual disorders had been reported. 19 patients presented by constipation; 7 of them had complete resolution, 9 were significantly improved while the rest 3 had no change. 11 patients presented by incontinence; 7 had complete resolution and the other 4 were improved according to Wexner score.
Conclusion: Laparoscopic rectopexy is a safe operation for full-thickness rectal prolapse with low recurrence rate and good functional outcomes.
الهدف من هذه الدراسة هو تقييم النتائج قصيرة المدى لعملية تثبيت المستقيم بالخياطة بالمنظار لعلاج هبوط المستقيم الكامل.
هذه دراسة بأثر رجعي لتقييم تثبيت المستقيم بالخياطة بالمنظار، فيما يتعلق بتكرار ما بعد الجراحة، ووظيفة الأمعاء؛ الإمساك وسلس البراز، والوظيفة الجنسية والرضا العام خلال فترة 6 أشهر بعد الجراحة.
شملت هذه الدراسة 31 مريضًا بالغًا تم إدخالهم إلى مستشفيات جامعة عين شمس مصابين بهبوط مستقيمي كامل تم إجراؤه بواسطة نفس الفريق الجراحي في الفترة من يناير 2021 حتى ديسمبر 2022.
من بين 31 مريضًا خضعوا لخياطة المستقيم بالمنظار، حالة واحدة فقط تكررت بشكل كامل، ولم يتم الإبلاغ عن أي اضطرابات جنسية. 19 مريضا يعانون من الإمساك. 7 منها تحسنوا بشكل كامل، و9 منها تم تحسينها بشكل ملحوظ بينما الثلاثة الباقية لم يطرأ عليها أي تغيير. 11 مريضا يعانون من سلس البراز. 7 تحسنوا بشكل كامل وتم تحسن الأربعة الأخرين بشكل ملحوظ وفقًا لدرجة ويكسنر.
تعتبر عملية تثبيت المستقيم بالمنظار عملية آمنة لعلاج هبوط المستقيم كامل السُمك مع معدل تكرار منخفض ونتائج وظيفية جيدة.
