Abstract One of the most common issues in the world is the desalination of seawater and brackish water, responding to the rising worldwide demand for freshwater. Freshwater availability has dropped due to population growth, inefficient use, climate change, and industrial pollution. Recently, most desalination systems in homes and industries use spiral wound membranes, as the reverse osmosis system is more effective than thermal desalination systems in removing salts while using less energy. |
