Abstract The study aimed to evaluate the effect of an educational program regarding missed nursing care on patient safety culture among nurses in intensive care units at Mansoura University Hospital. A quasi-experimental design was used to conduct study, consisted of 98 nurses by using missed nursing care knowledge questionnaire, observational checklist for nurses’ skills and hospital survey on patient safety culture. The study revealed that nurse’s knowledge related to miss nursing care improved to 61.2%, nursing skills increased to 75.5%. Developing an educational program leads to improve nurses’ knowledge and skills, also improves patient safety culture. Extending the program to all hospital nursing staff is recommended. |
