Abstract TED is a relatively rare condition, with an incidence of 2.9 to 16.0 cases per 100,000 population per year. The disease mainly affects women at the peak of their careers, and the most frequent cause of unilateral and bilateral proptosis in adults. TED affects the visual function of the eye in several ways including corneal topographic changes, dye eye, DON, and keratopathy. In this study, we compared 30 eyes of 15 patients with TED to 20 eyes of 10 patients TED device called CSO SIRIUS (Costruzione Strumenti Oftalmici, Florence, Italy). Firstly, corneal topography was done for both groups using CSO SIRIUS for detection of CT, K reading, BCVf, BCVb, BCV total, Curvature asymmetry f, curvature asymmetry b, then patients of the two groups were evaluated for meibomian gland loss evaluated by Infrared meibography for both upper and lower lid using CSO SIRIUS. |
