Abstract

Cerebrovascular disease is the second leading cause of death and the third most common cause of disability in the world. Gait and balance disorders are one of the first complaints after a stroke that significantly impact activities of daily living, quality of life, and rise risk for falls and this can be prevented through effective nursing care strategy focusing on physical exercises that helping patients return to normal life. Patients who received inpatient rehabilitation facilities care had a higher likelihood of better outcomes than patients who received skilled nursing facilities care, particularly within 90 days of hospital discharge. Exercise interventions positively affect disability, aerobic fitness, mobility and functional balance indicates after stroke. The present study aimed to: evaluate the effect of nursing intervention by using physical exercises modules on gait and balance for stroke patients. This .study was conducted at Neurology Department and Outpatient Clinics of Tanta Universal Hospitals, Neurology department consists of two units, female unit and male unit. The capacity of the two units includes 13 beds.
