Abstract The study was conducted on seven flocks in order to find out the extent of the spread of the CIAV in the governorates of Damietta and Dakahlia, and these flocks suffer from symptoms represented in a decrease in the vitality of birds, low feed consumption and overweight rates, rise in the mortality rates and the CIAV was identified by PCR in 5 out of 7 flocks that were tested (3 breeder and 2 broiler chicken flocks) with occurrence rate of 71.42%.The CIAV was identified by PCR at the proper size band of 418 bp. The positive groups were 3 breeder and 2 broiler flocks. |
