Abstract

being conditioned with LEAM regimen in comparison to other regimens including (BeEAM). Patient and Methods..retrospective study included 70 patients either R\R NHL or HL who were candidates for ASCT , they were recruited from BMT Unit, AIN Shams University Hospital, divided in Two groups LEAM those patients who recieved LEAM protocoal and Non-LEAM group which includes (BeEAM, TBI\Cyc, Cycl\Carboplatin\Vepside) as different conditioning regimen each one is 35 patients , fup up was over 36 months estimating the morbidity and mortality during transplanation and during fup of them ,engraftment day estimation, Overall survival (OS) and PFS (progression free survival) were estimated. Results: mean age was 37.4 in LEAM group and 36.2 in Non-LEAM group , with male predominance in LEAM group 51% and female predominance in Non-LEAM 51% ,with 34 Hodgkins lymphoma (refractory and relapsed) out of 70 cases . Hepatoxicity was evident in 28% of LEAM versus 18.5% in Non-LEAM group with statistically significant P value 0.031, Pulmonary and renal impairment\failure in LEAM were 20 % and 16% respectively, versus 14.2% and 6.2% in Non-LEAM respectively, as regard the day of engraftment and the O.S and PFS there was no Statistically significant difference between the 2 groups with P value 0.67 ,0.29,0.47 respectively, but with better O.S over the 36 ms of FUP in LEAM group, and 2 cases of TRM in LEAM versus 4 cases in NON-LEAM,PFS was reported higher in NON-LEAM group. Conclusion:
LEAM regimen characterized by existence of morbidity in comparison for others but still with better OS and uneventful PFS and Considered alternative if there is shortage in components of other conditioning regimen.
