Abstract This thesis presents incorporation of Quality by Design principles in development of new green analytical methods for determination of some drugs either in bulk form, in their dosage forms, and/or in biological fluids. The drugs selected for this study are: favipiravir, benoxinate HCl-fluorescein sodium combination, amlodipine -atorvastatin combination, ciprofloxacin HCl-metronidazole combination, and spiramycin-metronidazole combination. The thesis consists of six parts: Part I This part includes a general introduction about Green Analytical Chemistry principles, techniques, and greenness assessment tools. Then, it discusses Quality by Design framework including risk assessment, experimental designs, and design space development. Finally, it presents different analytical methods that involve combined implementation of Quality by Design and green chemistry principles. Part II This part deals with the development and validation of green analytical methods for determination of anti COVID-19 drug; favipiravir in pure form, dosage form, and biological fluid. |
