Abstract

Using information and communication technology (ICT) to share information and deliver government services is known as e-governance. Through e-governance, citizens may be able to access government services in a convenient, effective, and transparent way. Due to the expansion of cybercrime and cyberwarfare, the necessity for cyber security has recently expanded substantially. There are various trends in cyber security, the E-governance is the most important. E-governance is regarded as one of the most essential platforms for transmitting data and services over the internet that frequently contains valuable and confidential data, making them subject to threats. The E-governance systems depend mainly on services that are used by public people. This thesis uses a famous dataset that was collected from the internet traffic called the UNSW-NB15 dataset which consists of 307099 instances. The thesis proposed a framework to detect threats in internet traffic flows.
