Abstract Background: - Decreased balance in elderly will increase the risk of falling and fractures, so improving balance of elderly by yoga need to be investigated. Purpose: - The purpose of this study was to evaluate effectiveness of static versus dynamic yoga on balance in elderly. Results: - This study showed insignificant statistical difference in balance performance between the 2 groups. Overall stability index was insignificantly decreased with a percentage of change (2.68%) for group(A) and (17.2%) for group (B) and the balance performance were insignificantly improved in both groups with the dynamic group achieved more improvement than statistic yoga. Conclusion: - Both modalities of training either static or dynamic yoga had no greater effect on improving balance in elderly |
