Abstract Purpose: The purpose of the study was to investigate the effect of strain counter strain versus myofascial release in cervical myofascial pain syndrome Methodology: forty five patients (males) who had myofascial pain syndrome, their age ranges from 20 to 35 years were selected . Results: Within groups comparison the values of pain severity, pain presser threshold (PPT), neck functional disability in the ”pre” and ”post” tests indicating a significant improvements (P<0.5). Between groups there was statistically non significant difference in the values of pain severity, pain presser threshold (PPT), neck functional disability in the ”pre” and ”post” tests(P>0.5) Conclusion: There was no significant difference between SCS and MFR in treatment of cervical myofascial pain syndrome. |
