Abstract There is no doubt that surface anatomy plays an important role in veterinary practice. The present work aimed to develop an interactive computer program demonstrating the surface anatomy of equine thoracic limbs. We used 40 thoracic limbs obtained from 20 ethically sourced animals including horses, donkeys and mule. The data in the developed multimedia computer program were based on various anatomical techniques including preparation of bony skeletons, dissection of fresh and embalmed cadavers, and latex preparations. The program multimedia assets involved images, video clips, audio narration, and self{u2013}learning quizzes. The produced program will be of great benefit to veterinary students, and practitioners.
