Abstract The result also revelaed that O78 serogroup of E. coli was the highest serogroup agglutinating cow RBCs in an incidence of 71.4%, followed by O55 (42.9%), untypable E. coli (40.7%), O119 (33.3%), O125 (28.6%) and O26 (25.00%). In case of sheep RBCs the highest was O78 (57.1%), followed by the untypable E. coli (40.7%), O119 (33.3%), O125, O55 (25.6% each) and O26 (25.00%) while in case of camel RBCs the incidence was equal in case of O78, (35.7%), O55 (28.6%), O26 (25.00%) O125 (14.3%) and untypable E. coli (11.1%). Out of 34 k99 +ve E. coli isolates 6 were found to be haemolytic with the percentage of 17.7%. Meanwhile, in case of K99-ve E. coli isolates out of 68 isolates 32 were found haemolytic in an incidence of 47.1%. The highest serogroups showing haemolytic activities was O78 (57.1%), followed by O26 (50.00%), un typable E. coli (48.2%), O119 (44.4%), O55 (42.9%) and O125 (28.6%) |
