Abstract Background& aim: Due to an increasing number of the attendant cancer patients, the Outpatient Clinic affiliated to the Oncology and Nuclear Medicine Center (OPCOC), Kasr Al Ainy Hospitals is facing difficulties with work pressure. The ultimate aim of this study was to improve the health services provided for the patients attending this OPCOC. Conclusions: Undertaking benchmarking approach enables teams and services to identify their local strengths and weaknesses. This is the key in continual quality improvement. Recommendations: Emphasize effective managerial leadership, sound team morale and effective internal communication to ensure the successful buy-in and hence the improvement in the health service |
